Thinking like in terms of a “start with the Greeks” type reading list, but based on Christianity. Should you just jump into the Bible? If you wouldn’t start with the Bible, what should you start with?

Yes, you should just jump into the Bible. A conservative study Bible would be helpful if you're totally new, so when you have a basic question you can consult the notes.

Oh sorry I just noticed that we can't say the Bible. I tend to be drawn to certain Saints. I guess it just depends on what your spirit is like at the moment and what God will give you for food.

Sorry if it's not much of an answer. I believe in Dynamic living more than systemization. but over the years various Saints have always been a good influence on me.

(1) John, then the other Gospels and the Epistles, then the Prophets, then the other books. (2) Summa Theologica, and anything ST links to. (3) Socrates' Apologia, and other important Socratic dialogues.

Someone should gather all of that into a crosslinked database that can be queried by topic. Aquinas sort of tried to with STh.

The Holy Bible, specifically:

>The Gospels

>The Law

>The Acts

>The Histories

>The Wisdom

>The Epistles

>The Prophets

>Revelation

Follow with the apocrypha, then the Pilgrims Progress and other such good Christian books (although the Bible is of course the most important of all books, and should be continually read).
