Does anyone have any spiritual experiences they want to share? It's an Anonymous imageboard so here is probably the best place to do it if you're worried about social consequences. I'll also share some of my own if anyone asks.

The only thing I've ever had happen was I woke up once to a shadowy figure looming over me. I had hardly spoken the word "Jesus" before the thing stood up and ran away, vanishing. I got a good look at it, and it definitely wasn't just a trick of the light, but it was probably sleep paralysis rather than a demon if I had to guess. I still prayed for protection and mercy before I went back to sleep, though.

My grandmother has a story about what she thought was an angel pushing her out of harm's way. Something about a fire, I think. I'll ask her about it at church, if I remember.

That's about it from me. What was your story, if you don't mind me asking?

I have plenty, but I'll tell you all one.

One time I was in discipleship school and the director had gotten stacks of paper for everyone in the class that were stapled together. He put a number on the bottom corner. They corresponded to each of us and we didn't know who, only him. He passed them out and he said, "we can all hear from God and I'm going to prove it." So the idea was, write down what you hear for the individual, turn the page and pass it. I get the first two and write, "God loves you." It's simply what I hear. When the third one comes I tell God I want to write down something amazing. I then hear, "you're going to have a baby." I'm shocked. I ask again, hear the same and ask again and hear the same. I scribble it down, turn the page and pass it down.

At the end, the director asks if anyone got anything amazing. One of the girls, who was married, out of 20 of us, smiles and giggles and says she's going to have a baby. Someone mentions it's good that one of the married girls got that, but otherwise, there's silence.

A few months pass and we're in Cambodia on a mission trip and we're doing encouragement night, we encourage a particular individual. It's her turn, so we encourage her. I tell her and her husband that God gave me that word because they're supposed to name their first born after me. I add in a little bit else and everyone laughs.

Anyways, later we get food and they purposefully sit next to me. They explain that the timing of that word originally was good. The week prior she was told she had a genetic marker and those with it usually can't have children.

As the story goes, we all get back to America and her and her husband start planning to move to Cambodia to be missionaries. They then have a team and launch date. During this time, they're also seeing fertility doctors. Nothing is working. This goes on for over a year. Then finally a doctor tells her she'll never have kids. She's devastated.

The next week they realize they have to reschedule the launch date because she's pregnant.
