As someone who was raised in a secular household and is now interested in Orthodoxy what would you suggest as a starting point for daily practices, habits, and scripture to read in to cultivate a stronger relationship with God?

Surprise no one had tried to respond to this one yet. I'm not Orthodox myself but have been rather interested in converted to either that or Catholicism for sometime now and have been trying to do more research of both. I've heard that some Orthodox churches can be quite open, especially in the states that speak english. Finding a church and trying to speak with a priest on guidance as a new convert after mass might be the most direct way of going about this. Hopefully the first church you go to works out for you.

OP, prayer, first, and always, and constantly. God Himself delights to answer questions like the one you posed. So keep that in mind and listen to Him as He directs you toward Himself. Since you are asking here, I will recommend this book for you. I found it to be amazing and immensely helpful in a practical sort of how-to-do-christianity kind of way. It's written by a monk for other monks, about how to be a monk in modern culture. It's great, and super helpful.

You can buy it on amazon. I'd give you the link but for some reason it keeps flagging the amazon url as spam.
