Jesus is God. This is a friendly reminder to name your God.

Too many Christians go around talking about God without ever saying his name. Whenever you are talking to someone about God, say his name: Jesus.

Many people think God is unknowable, God himself has proven this to be false as Christ Jesus.

You cannot relate to a God whom has never experience the mortality of the flesh, the sufferings of life and temptations of sin.

If you want salvation and want to share salvation you must know the author of salvation: the Son of God, he who is God in the flesh: Jesus Christ.

NAME YOUR GOD, CHRISTIAN

That's not totally consistent advice, sometimes you're referring to God the Father when speaking of God. The father and the son are different persons, and the father's name is not Jesus.

>sometimes you're referring to God the Father when speaking of God.

Only he's a Jesus-only Unitarian.

But it is good advice to mention Jesus by name more.

8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

…So did I hit the nail on the head? Are you a Jesus-only Unitarian?

This is bad advice.

Exodus 20:7 and Deuteronomy 5:11, the Third Commandment:

>You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.

Leviticus 19:14:

>You shall not revile the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind; you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.

Saying Jesus ordered the destruction of Canaan does make Christianity seem more based.

The Tetragrammaton (YHWH) isn't really a name – its a means of describing the indescribable. It literally means "to be, become, come to pass" and is usually translated as "I am" or "I will be." It comes from Exodus when God declares "I am that I AM," or "I will be that I WILL BE." In English we struggle with this concept. The word is more like "I am," "You are," "He/she/it is," "We are," and "They are," all rolled up into one convenient word. The German language as a better translation than English – the word "sein," with is roughly "be." This is usually taken to mean that when God identified Himself as YHWH, He was declaring that He was above any naming convention, that nothing could be likened unto Him, or that He is being/existence itself.

The Son, though, hypostatically joined to human nature, is not above naming conventions, for He adopted the name Yeshua, or Joshua, or the Greek "Jesus." To say that God's name is Jesus is not errant, but to say that the Father's or Spirit's name is Jesus is indeed errant.
