I can think of a few reasons:
>You don't actually believe, so you're doing it to be edgy – it's all the same to Satan.
>You have no hope for salvation, and so you want to ride this life as hard as possible.
>You are so enamored with earthly powers and pleasures that you give little thought to your ultimate destiny and align yourself with the being who rewards you with the most immediate gratification.
>You genuinely disagree with God's morality and are so bound up in your own principles that you align yourself with His enemy.
>You have a mistaken belief about who the Devil is: making him out to be some kind of heroic martyr who sacrificed himself to free humanity or impart knowledge to them. Very common among many self-proclaimed Satanists. I believe this is the position of the Free Masons.
>You believe that Christians have got the spiritual realm wrong: Yahweh is just a spirit like all of the other spirits, albeit a powerful one, but there is no all-powerful or infinite Creator spirit. Choosing among a host of different deities, including Satan, has no eternal repercussions – the Apocalypse of John is not set in stone, rather, it is the spirit Yahweh's personal end-goal and can be thwarted.
There may be more reasons, but these are the ones I have considered.
