Is the trailer for sequel series to the Young Pope HBO series, The New Pope.
From what I gather, it plays with the question
>what happens when there are two popes
Basically, /ourguy/ Pius XIII is on life support. Many don't think he will make it. The Cardinals hold a conclave and elect a new Pope. After the new Pope is elected, Pius XIII gets better and makes a full recovery.
How would something like that work in real life? Would the new pope still be pope and the Previous pope just have to deal with it, or would the new pope have to step down?
