Is the trailer for sequel series to the Young Pope HBO series, The New Pope.

From what I gather, it plays with the question

Basically, /ourguy/ Pius XIII is on life support. Many don't think he will make it. The Cardinals hold a conclave and elect a new Pope. After the new Pope is elected, Pius XIII gets better and makes a full recovery.

How would something like that work in real life? Would the new pope still be pope and tte Previous pope just have to deal with it, or would the new pope have to step down?

Since they don't elect another Pope until the sitting Pope is dead, this can't happen.

It's just jewish propaganda made by "Hollywood". Just keep in mind your soul is better off without TV unless you're watching Passion of the Christ.

The Pope himself determines the method for the institution of his successor. If the Pope is still alive and does not renounce his position, there is no process for bringing another Pope into existence. The conclave would be doing so illicitly and the Holy Orders wouldn't be a valid sacrament. Interestingly enough, if the Pope wanted, he could literally put an end to the democratic process with a single letter. If the Pope so chose, he could name his next successor right now and there isn't a thing any Cardinal could do to stop him. The only reason the Pope is elected is because the Popes have chosen to bring about new Popes that way, and the entire system could be remade immediately.

Meh, I'm probably gonna watch it to make up my mind. I'm not convinced this show is some kind of jewish propaganda to undermine the Church. The Vatican is shown as corrupted and full of homos, but isn't it how it is really? I don't recall the show trying to do revaluation of values. What is shown as "good" is good indeed. Lenny might not be a saint, but he's doing what the Pope should do most of the time. Prove me wrong I guess?

Has anyone here watched "The Two Popes"? My family insists that is good and I should watch it. Should I? I don't mind it being boring, but I fear it may just be lukewarm feel-good crap that undermines the Papacy. I don't want to watch something that would just make me angry.

Two Popes? I'm not even sure we've had a Pope at all since Pope Pius XII.

I have no interest in these garbage HBO/Netflix series. They're all designed to corrupt and weaken the faith, and are the works of the demon possessed. There are enough pitfalls that lead to sin, no need to pay for more pitfalls.
