The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

How is a Christian supposed to confront Evil in this world?

The Bible says we should return good to our enemies, turn the other cheek, pray for them and forgive them. Is this still the right course of action when it encourages even more evil? Doing those things won't deter the malicious and demonic at all in fact they just become more emboldened to do the same and more. I find that these Biblical-sanctioned actions actually increase evil acts and demonic people by not being punished and run rampant.

The people who spread hate, deceive, lie, cheat, antagonize and covet don't give a flying crap. The gracious actions won't touch their soul at all and just see you as a target and a doormat. How is a Christian supposed to fight evil when the only way of effectively curbing evil is to give back pain and brutality to evil people until they stop?

I wish I have the proper answers for this question because I am also struggling with it; but here are my two-cents anyway. Spread the word. Do not return fire with fire, but rather educate people, get them to questions the actions they think that are normal (cheat, bear false witness, covet, etc.) in these dark days, get them to understand why that is wrong. The law is written upon our hearts, but the people hearts these days are hardened, they are merely lying to themselves. Every sins they have committed they overlook and think it is normal, but the truth is always there in the heart. The weight of sins weigh upon them whether they realised it or not. For those who have ears to hear, let them hear; otherwise wipe the dusts and sands off your sandals.

The Revelation is not what may happen, it is what WILL happen and every seconds that passes draw us nearer to the End and the adversary know that its peril is imminent, and is why the enemies are burning midnight oil and pulling all stops right now. Save whatever remains and save whatever and whoever you can. We all got to fulfill the book.

And lastly, pray. Every day, every night, without fail. Pray that our Lord who have already saved the world through His sacrifice will save us from the evils of the days to come.

Thanks for the post it gave me some perspective. Dominating others through force does make people lose out on being saved and learning about Christ. Something a Christian should ought not to let happen. It also builds a shaky morality where the guy with the biggest stick gets to decide what should be and God's morality is lost.
