I have a spiritual question, /christians/.
My brother, was what would be conceived as a practicing Christian, until recent events which found him denouncing churches as "synagogues" for their "persecution", claims the Catholics are blatant evil among other things. He also believes God is "collective consciousness" and that by meditation (eastern), you can access "heaven" and that heaven isn't a literal place that you go. He seems to believe Jesus Christ was a "yogi" and that He gave us the path to enlightenment hidden in His parables. What do I say to refute this, that cannot be turned around as "ah yeah well you need to look into it more because I know more than you"?
Also, what is your opinion on this, /christianity/? Is God truly a being or is He consciousness, and is heaven really just another dimension?
He believes in all that chakra nonsense too, I've attempted to warn him but he instantly dismisses me because he feels he knows more about God. He's tried to get me to meditate but I have had a bad feeling about it ever since it has surfaced and I need guidance. He also believes that the church isn't the body, but rather the "keepers of the law" or pharisees.
What do? I feel like my words are falling on deaf ears and I can tell by the fruits he bears that he is changing and falling from grace.
