i suck at constructing sentences and most of the time i dont know what to say, i feel like my prayer is shallow and short, then i started looking up on what if we write it first or memorize the prayer on the OSB, i also looked up online and found other written prayers but people are saying it's not good and not sincere (that it's not actually from you) etc.
what do you guys think about this? i have been raised a prot all my life so memorizing prayer that is not on the bible is not a thing and i feel weird about it

I memorized the Lord's prayer then go off that then end with 6:13, usually pray for wisdom, courage, strength, a sound mind, and whatever is going on that I need help with. Just spill your heart out don't hold back.
The thing about prayer is the Lord Jesus Christ helps us with things we haven't even thought about.

The Lord knows what you need before you even ask, so don't think about it so much.

esus told us exactly how and what to pray with the Lord's Prayer, every verse is a succinct springboard from which you can spill your heart out on the theme of it and covers all that you'll need to cover.
To pray means to ask. Petition him to guide you to do his will, to allow you to grow the fruits of the spirit, for strengthened faith is you feel you lack it, to take care of and bring into the fold people that you know and love and are struggling or suffering, or for the homeless man in the street or anyone and anything, there's so much evil in the world and that you and everyone is capable of you should never run out of things to pray (petition) him for.
On the flipside, in prayer (not in the petitioning/asking sense) give thanks and praise to him, for him and what he's done, acknowledging and giving thanks for what you have that many other's might not have - two working legs that allow you to get around, two eyes to see with, a roof over your head and food in your belly so that you don't go hungry, the beauty in creation that you're alive to experience and partake in first hand, there's so much good in the world and in and from God that you should never run out of things to be thankful for. :^)
But don't worry about it too much, like >>815351 says.

If you beat your chest and cry out "Lord forgive me" repeatedly, that's one of the best prayers you could ever say.

>asking for forgiveness
>not saying sorry for being a failure and a sinner
smh
Jokes aside, I don't like praying for forgiveness; I don't feel like I deserve it. If He wants to forgive me, that'd be great, but I don't think I should ask to be delivered from the consequences of my faulty actions.

Most prayers you find online probably wont resonate with you. I've been shilling the Litany of Humility recently cause it seems to hit quite hard each time I recite it. It's a Catholic prayer, but doesn't have any cath dogma attached; check it and see if you like it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Litany_of_humility
Other than that, the Psalms are a great source of prayers. Read them and select the ones you like the most, note them down, and pray them.
Prayers should bring you closer to God. Anything you recite that makes you feel closer to God is, to an extent, a prayer. Pray out-loud, without speaking, while cooking or cleaning, or after some deep meditation; you know what works four you in each different moment.

Personally, I'd say all you need to recite by memory is Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Glory Be. Everything else you can read off-hand or focus on later. Prayer is simultaneously interior and exterior.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. Say it while making the sign of the cross.
