You see there was no "judaism" before Christ. There was the religion of the 12 tribes of Israel, sure. There was the Law, the old covenant, sure.
Consider this:

Look here. I am not even pushing the Khazar theory but it is blatant that Ashkenazi are quite different from other jews, there are even black jews and asian jews.
Being jew is matrilinear…that means that if the father is even black or anything,….you're still a jew. Given this and the khazar theory…..(Nobody claims that all jews are Khazars. But eastern european jews probably are. Given the fact that they were converts from turks)….the notion of "ethnic homogenity" is preposterous as is preposterous to claim someone is "chosen" or saved simply on grounds of his genetics.
But hey,…it makes then sense that jews push race mixing, constantly tell you that you should mix with blacks/asians/whatever because you're mixed anyway. All they do is projection.
And it all comes down to pharisees rejecting Logos, crucifying Jesus Christ. I think that the term "Judaism" itself mocks God, who first established the tribes of Israel(12 of them) as his chosen, then the tribes disappeared, the one broke the covenant by rejecting messiah. The new covenant was then for all people..the Church became the new Israel. But you have the group of mongrels/turks/perhaps few original Judeans ,who knows, creating Talmud, rejecting everything good, creating "judaism" and larping as "Israel".
tl dr: Whoever claims that "judaism" is a legit religion that is the old testament religion is not Christian because that directly negates divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. Better terms are Phariseeism or Talmudism because that is what it comes down to.

As far as the Khazar theory is concerned….the Khazar empire existed, they were converts and some of their descendants are definitely part of today's jewry. So by default you see there are various ethnic groups, not a homogenic ethnic lineage.
