The cathedral of St. Andrä in Austria after being painted white and then given to a modern artist to decorate. Still a functioning Roman Catholic church, built in 1616. It says a lot that they elected to paint the word "fiction" on the outside of the church, which leads me to believe that it was an act of intentional sacrilege.
