The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Well, this is my screenshot on /adv/. If you could just, please, give me any advice. I've talked to priests, and I have talked to a sort of orthodox-christian psychologist, but it didn't really help me. Even when I try to go to religion again, it makes me feel uneasy, unsure, unconfident. One priest told me that loving God and neighbor is the most important, but I can't seem to grasp what that means. It just feels fake if I try to do it.

Well, maybe you should make a sacrifice. Abstain from videogames for instance. Offer it to God and maybe you get your feeling of wholeness back.

Often if there's something holding you back in your life you will feel spiritually ill. Maybe it's videogames, maybe its computer over-usage, or something else entirely.

Fellow winnie the poohed in the head anon here, most people on this board are normies. You won't get any advice worth listening to from most of them, it's always "just stop sinning, bro" or "it's just god's plan, bro!" the only thing I can say is that you need to become Catholic. People like us cannot be REsPONSIBLE for deciding our own paths in life, we'd just end up in a gutter or in jail. You need to just give up and try to do what the church tells you to. How is this different from their shitty advice? B-because I'm not offering you any solution, I'm just offering you a guardrail. This is not going to solve ANY of your problems. whatever shit you're dealing with will NEVER go away. It's just who you are unfortunately. You just have to learn how to cope with it or shove it down inside ON YOUR OWN. sure god will be there helping you, but he isn't going to just magically get rid of all your problems like everyone thinks. They think this because they never had real problems in the first place. I'll tell you that since I became Catholic, none of my problems have gone away. I'm honestly worse off, but the difference is I just don't care anymore. Or at least I care less. Yeah sometimes I still cry at night thinking about how I will never have a family, but it will all be over once I die. Just remember that it will all be over once you die.
