Not really for evolution specifically, no.

Genesis 1 demonstrates the TIMELESSNESS of God.

It's a spiritual retelling of literal events.

Were ribs an analogy for chromosomes (they both come in pairs), since people didn't know about DNA back then? Was Adam a early human with 24 chromosomes? Did God take one out to create Eve (modern humans) with 23 chromosomes?

I hope not, OP. It's not a heresy but it's such a stupid and earthly interpretation of the scriptures that it's a symptom of bigger underlying problems.

If it is literal or not doesn’t matter to me what matters is what is being taught in genesis (women is made for man, man is in the image of God, God is a plurality, the distinction between word spirit and aba, man fell because of original sin, not sin can be forgiven without the spilling of blood, et al).
