>I don't think hating myself is a sin if the hate is well deserved.
Well, that's the thing. It IS a sin, because it's never deserved. We are God's creation, made in his image, How could self-destruction ever make sense given that? Jesus himself says on numerous occasions, that our own self judgement is one of the biggest barriers keeping us from reaching the kingdom of God. He accepts the lowest of the low (murderers, rapists, prostitutes, etc) just as much as he accepts the Saints, so what makes you think you're so special that you don't deserve any self respect?
If you feel you're a burden on your family, either they're the sinners in the wrong for making you feel that way, or you're misinterpreting your own situation to make it seem worse than it actually is. Instead of feeling like a burden, you should acknowledge how generous God is for providing you a family that's supporting you, even when even you don't see your own value. And don't forget that God's plan is never just about you, it's about everyone. Your purpose in being here may just be for the sake of having your family support you, and here you are thinking about screwing God's plan up for them.
