It was already stupid at literally the first sentence. It follows modern, pozzed scholarship that assumes that Israel are Canaanites. It comes from flawed dating/synchronicity with Egyptian timelines.

Israel were not Canaanites. The scripture says exactly what they were: Sumerian/proto-Syrian. Abraham was from Ur. End of story. Only faggots (like Israel Finkelstein..the self hating Jew) push this new Canaanite theory.

Oops.. just to add, Sumer itself was also pagan, so one could say there were "pagan" origins at least in Abraham's homeland. But again, scripture itself says he was called out. Ancient Jewish/apocryphal tradition (which even the Quran borrows funnily) have a funny story where a younger Abraham worked in his dad's "idol" shop and one day smashed the idols. His beliefs eventually got him in trouble and he fled… which is where the biblical story picks up.
