Our God is a god of love. God loves his creation. But why be a god of love if you have no one to love? Yes God does love the stars, the planets, the ocean, the mountains, the fields, the trees, all of that but you can only talk to a mountain for so long until you get bored and realize the mountain won't talk back. You can hug a tree for so long until you realize the tree is cold and can't hug you back. So what is a God of love to do?
Easy. He makes someone in His image, Adam. Finally someone that can love God back. God loved Adam so much He gave Adam dominion over all of the creation that He made before Adam. He loved Adam so much He gave him animals to name and eat. He loved Adam so much He gave him a wife so Adam would bring more humans into God's family. Even after Adam and Eve ruined paradise for literally every human after them, God still loves us unconditionally. Like a father that loves his kids unconditionally. Even if the little shits rebel and crashes his car, a father still loves his children no matter what.
But God won't force you to love him. You can reject His love, but you'll be missing out on the eternal paradise He wants us to be apart of. So in order to know who truly loves Him, he sent down His only son Jesus to show us the way so we can love God and be apart of His family once more.
