Ultimately a waste of time. Both vie for universality and the conversion of all men to their respective faiths. Such questions are settled by the sword and the womb, not free speech.

I should add that debate and theological discussion is itself good—a sincere desire for truth is a gift of the Holy Spirit. However conversion by "debate," like most forms of ecumenism, is a short-term, small-scale thing.

In theory it's a good thing, but in debates of these kind one of the parties of convince switches side. It isn't about to find a common ground.

Its a wast of time these interfaith crap.

Either they repent and join the church or they shall perish.

It isn't interfaith dialogue. It's one faith dialogue because we are just there to tell them their religion is false and most of them don't want to join us and, specially in the Jewish case they sai they'll be out friends of basically we stop being Catholic. It's the ultimate stupidity. When someone says this who know it's time to stop.

PS. If the dialogue between religions is about other issues like fighting the evils of society like abortion, faggotry etc than its a good thing as long as the Catholic guidelines are followed, i.e. convert the fags instead of throwing them out of a skyscraper.

I think Islam is just an ethnoreligion for Arabs and of the steppe, meaning it truly cannot be a religion that's universal. Ergo to debate them is like debating Germanic Paganoids, or pagans in general.
