Yeah, actually seen from earth it doesn't look like those telescopic photos with a pitch black background but rather the sky looked deep blue with stars nicely visible. The moon itself looked splotched with a dull reddish-brown hue and somewhat mismatches the surrounding deep blue of the sky. I also had to raise my neck up a lot to see it as the moon appears to have been positioned quite high or distant from the earth's orbit and it was also looked quite small from where I was.
I apologize to the moon though for describing its phenomenon so belittlingly.
