I have terrible social anxiety and had probably one of the worst and most embarrassing interactions in a taco bell today during my lunch break at work. Then I had a slight panic attack afterwards. I just get so nervous when interacting with other human beings, but primarily when I'm like ordering food or paying for groceries or something like that. I feel like such an idiot but I just am so nervous. I feel like I'm being judged on everything and I become super and self conscious and then when I interact with people I just freeze up. Please pray for me anons.

I'm praying for you bro. I used to have similar in my teens but I practiced my way out of it, or at least that's what I tell myself. Just remember that no one else is watching you like you are watching yourself.

you worrying about looking stupid is funnily enough a sign that you have too much pride. If you were truly humble, and realized that you were nothing, and also remembered how Our Good Lord was spat upon and mocked - God Incarnate - you would be more than willing to suffer along with Him in being despised. Or at the very least you would realize how insignificant your taco bell encounters are.

If that angle of perspective doesnt work, you can also interact with everyone you meet as if you are interacting with Christ (which you are). That should be more than enough to want to love and serve everyone, and your mind would cease to be on yourself, but on the other persons needs.

Pray more and be honest lad. Pray for me too if you can. Thanks

Me too, but I take a beta blocker to calm me down. Works pretty good. Might want to talk to your doc about it.

I kinda get that way myself. I went to a therapist and she perscribed me medication and that helped A LOT. Please if you haven’t already, GO SEE A THERAPIST. Oh my gosh are they life-savers! Also I’ll be praying for you man. Godspeed

You must power through it yourself though, go practice martial arts it's humbling since you'll get pounded by the more experienced, go read the Stoics it's excellent for gaining control over your thoughts instead of having a rogue mind filling your head with garbage.
