Scamming the religious is about just as an old activity as the first religion is, regardless of what that religion was. Religious scams are still alive and well today. As many people are failing Christianity and because a great number of people are believing in strange ideas they consume on the internet, many people are scamming themselves.
There are plenty of political scam artists. There is also no shortage of religious scam artists. Not all of them are Christian but their marks or at least their marks’ families probably were Christian.
It’s hard to discern what drives a false prophet or false teacher of Christianity. However, the false teachers and false prophets – the scam artists – tend to work in groups. As such, there is a good chance that, in general, the scammers are getting funding, directly or indirectly, from a State Sponsor.
Scam groups, self-organizing or under some kind of management or directive, can work the crowd much better than working alone. Scam groups can work their scams to greater effect as well as create a synergy the individual scammers can take advantage of. As such, “cottage industries” pop up to lead “communities” and “movements.”

The scammers say something approximating “as were in the days of Noah, so our end will be.” Their scam is easily dispelled. Their’s is a sin of omission to distract. The scammers’ marks are not reading their Bibles, at least not with a clear head. The scam could be popularly called “As In the Days of Noah,” It is a house of cards, one that has been built out very elaborately…
