Their position is based on the rejection of the Law in their hearts, not on rationality. They know homosexuality is wrong from the Law in their hearts, but they are told to reject it as it is prejudice.

Pointing out their contradictions, I think, is not the way to go because their position is not on on a genuine search for Truth. It's based on the rejection of the Law in their hearts.

I think explaining your position is on the acceptance of your heart while theirs is in the rejection of it is more fruitful.

That won't work because most people don't have arachnophobia. Arachnophobia is not when you don't want spider crawling over you, it's an actual disorder that puts people in panic mode when they just see spiders. I don't particularly like spiders myself, but I don't mind them living in my apartment as long as they stick to their corners and eat insects.
