The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

So I've read the Bible, and I believe it. But with this being apparent, what do I do with all this information?

What changes do I need to make in my life? How do I become a good Christian? What should the Bible mean to me? How do I do what is says in the many parts of it? How do I accept God with all my heart?

I'm going out on a limb here and need help and direction to good sources that can help me with this problem.

Right now I'm walking in utter confusion about all these things.

First put your trust in God that he is ultimately in control of all things and leading you where you need to go. Even if you stumble on the way you should put your hope in his power more than in your own effort.

Set aside time each day to contemplating God, the bible, yourself and praying.

We are to know, love, and serve God. we cannot serve what we don’t love. Moreover, we cannot love what we don’t know (except perhaps in an abstract /robotic way) so it's very important to attain understanding, devotion and faith.

You should work on understanding, which means being able to discern between the relative and absolute. Extrinsic morality, which is how you relate to your fellow man. Intrinsic morality which is how self-aware you are and how you relate to God.

Some books I would recommend would be:

Abiding in Christ by Andrew Murray

Imitation of Christ by Kempis

The Philokalia by various monks

Listen to this video, a worthwhile exposition on what genuine Faith is.

>what do I do with all this information?

You hold on to it and study it to wherever you can.

>What changes do I need to make in my life?

Sin less. Unlike some bozos here say, you will never be "worthy" of God's grace, unless your one of those special ones who can forgive all and sin not. But your job is to purify yourself as much as you can, for you are God's temple, and to keep God's blessing upon yourself and share its with other people.

>How do I become a good Christian?

You pray, above all else, and you study your Bible. If you have a good Church community, join it, make one yourself even.

>What should the Bible mean to me?

God's word and wisdom, inspired and put to word by men throughout the thousands of years.

>How do I do what is says in the many parts of it?

You interpret it at first, then you realize there's no need to interpret Grace.

>How do I accept God with all my heart?

You reforge your heart through the life and works of Christ.
