The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Within the context of Scripture, the Day of the Lord has always referred to a day of judgment. For this, I am not talking about the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as the Day of the Lord terminology on this side of the cross often implies that blessed day when the Lord shall return, but rather the general idea of the Day of the Lord and how it relates to the nations.

I lurk on /pol/ quite a bit and the rhetoric there gets tiresome rather quickly, as does politics in general. But, when I look at the political situation of the Western world I am reminded that God is, and always shall be, the Lord over all the nations; and perhaps the time is quickly coming that He shall tread out the grapes of wrath upon America, Europe, and other Western nations for their sins have finally reached that point.
