A famous Atheist twitted that she is sad that others backlash "good people" online, while she herself is mocking a good person street preacher whom done nothing to her..

There was also an acquintance of mine who is upset that her friend calls her fat but one time she herself calls me that I seems looks fat.

This is what happens when people are self-righteous and don't see their own hypocrisy. They got angry when people wronged them but they themselves do same things to others.

The Christian way is to hate sin, all sin including your own but love those who hate you and persecute you. It's not always what feels good to our little squishy egos, but it's the only way to free yourself

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you…" Is substantially less than what Christ asks of us according to the Great Commandment.

The correct wording is "love your neighbor, as you would love yourself." I personally think there's a substantial difference between acting as if you loved your neighbor, and the mere indifference implied by the dryly worded, so-called golden rule.
