But I am also told (from my memories from schooling and other christian talk), that if we keep our morals high and accept the Lord as our savior we are granted access unto heaven.

Considering myself, I do my best to keep strong morals and remind myself of the teachings of the Lord. But I always worry if I am doing enough to please him. Should more sacrifices be made? Should more time be devoted to the Lord? What is enough to gain acceptance in heaven?

It's suppose to be about your faith producing works not you working to get into heaven. You have to sincerely repent and avoid sins, but you will never be completely free of sin just how humans are.
