Most translations follow the Protestant bible renderings and in any case revise them where they differ from the intended text. The Douay-Rheims largely follows other early modern bible translations that were done by Protestants.
Brenton's Septuagint follows the Greek much more but still resembles the early modern translations a lot.
For a real translation from scratch from the Vulgate you should look into the Wycliffe Bible; more modernized renderings of it are available on Bible Gateway.
Really though the early modern language packs more oomph than the sanitized modern translations and often proves to be more faithful to the source language. If it's about the apocrypha know that Protestant bibles have also included them.
