The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I just confess my sins and the priest suggested I read a biography of a saint. The only one I've ever heard of is Confessions, by St. Augustine. Have you read it? Do you think it's suitable for someone less versed in religious literature (such as myself)? Do you have any other book recommendation?

I have read some of it, yes. It is interesting. I plan to read it again, maybe finish it this time.

the last few chapters are focused on exegisis/philosophy but the biographical section is great

St Patricks's Confession is worth a read.

Started reading it the today. Book II really hit me hard since his writings about his time as teenager dealing with lust and peer pressure really hit deep.
