The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

My Pastor told me that no matter what I do, no matter how bad I sin or even if I fall away, I will always be saved. I have felt assured of my salvation since I got saved this year but recently I have been having some doubts in my mind about this. I know it is Satan trying to tempt me but I just need some reassurance guys. I am going to be studying my Bible even more for answers. I read it everyday but I'm going to start reading it even more even when I'm at work. Thank you everybody. I will pray for you in Jesus' name. Amen.

To god, the thoughts of the heart are the same as actions in the flesh.

To god, just spout everyone is an adulterer and murderer

“The thought of foolishness is sin”

Yes, Jesus paid for all your sins, past present and future. He is with you, always.

Irrelevant. What you should ask yourself is how much of yourself is saved, and how much was irrevocable corrupted throughout your life?

You ought to look into TULIP.

>My Pastor told me that no matter what I do, no matter how bad I sin or even if I fall away, I will always be saved.

There's a reason warning passages are given in the scriptures, because there are apostates. Obviously those apostates once gave a profession of faith, but were they saved? 1 John 2 states they went out from us, so that it might be made evident they were not of us. 1 John also, along with the rest of the NT affirms the necessity of further sanctification. How could the Holy Spirit be at work in someone who does not wish to be conformed to the holiness of God? How could He be at work in someone who willingly practices sin without repentance?

Regarding the power of God in salvation, i recommend you read Romans, Ephesians and John. In John 6 for one, Jesus confirms He will save those whom God has given to Him. In the negative, He also affirms that nobody can be saved who hasn't been given to Him by God. In Ephesians and Romans, Paul speaks of the predestination of the saved from before the foundation of the world.

The perseverance of the saints (not quite OSAS) makes sense when it is God who saves instead of man who assents to being saved.

I would also recommend you peruse through the teaching of people such as James White and John Macarthur who have written and spoken much on these subjects

I hope this helps!

John 3:36

>he that doesn’t believe on the Son, the wrath of God abides on him

Judgment on works applies only to unsaved

Matthew 7:21

>Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

I think protestant misunderstand what "faith" really means. I agree with them but you seem to believe "faith" means a mental agreement and not a total conformation of one's being according to God's will.

Because according to OSAS doctrine I'm free to sin as much as I want (I'm a disgusting sinner) because Jesus already forgave me.

I can go back producing degenerate porn.

>But don't you want to please God?

Why should I? I'm already saved.

OSAS is basically ruining the doctrine and leads to things like this (pic related, written by a transgender. I won't share the website, it's disgusting)

The will of the Father is to believe in Christ, and obtain everlasting life.

Anyways,

>lord lord didn’t I do many good works?

No OSAS would say this. Think about it for a second.

These people are counting in their works, and Jesus never knew them.

>The will of the Father is to believe in Christ

That I do. Now that this has been settled it means I can go back writting/drawing cuckold porn for people on 4chan? Apparently it's all good.

Feels good to be saved.

Nah really, I feel like the "didn't I do many good works" is refering to modern/lukewarm christians who believe God only wants you to be "nice" and believe in Jesus.

They really do believe in Jesus, but some distorded happy, sjw hippie Jesus.

Christians like these are everywhere nowadays, in fact they make up the majority of them, I believe.

On a more serious note, consider the parables of the wedding banquet. God (the King) tells his servants to call all of mankind, then he finds a man who was invited and that guy didn't even have the decency to put a wedding garment. What does Goes do? He throws him outside, in the outer darkness and says "Many are called but few are chosen"

Everytime people advocate for OSAS doctrine they quote everyone but Jesus who almost always talk about judgement and doing His Father's will.

Read revelation and the gospels and see for yourself.

So when God tells them "I never knew you" they react like this

"B-B-But I've been NICE and TOLERANT! I talked about you to everyone I know. Jesus :'( "

That's the modern version of "Didn't I do many good works?"

Probably for the billions of people who aren't saved.

Matthew did not say that
