My shopping list reads like Deutoronomy 8 when I buy groceries. Wheat (also, Ezekiel bread) , barley, grapes, fig newtons, pomegranates, olives, milk and honey.

But remember it's not what goes into your mouth, it's what comes out of your mouth.

Ancient grains look interesting, probably goes well with minimal condiment.

Nomadic diets are said to be more meat and dairy reliant than agrarian ones but I've also read that they might be pretty grain reliant too on most days since the meat might be reserved for important feasts and is probably preserved in different ways like smoking and drying.

Monks in different religions can be exhibited trying to keep their meals austere but wholesome.
