Good points:

>No-one talked about God or Jesus

>They talked about humanism and inclusivity and the need for diversity

>They welcomed LBGT people

Bad points:

>They talked about things like "faith" and not science

>The 'contemporary' service was too ritualistic

How does this kind of trash even belong on /christian/? No offense, OP, but am I supposed to applaud because he went and gave three stars to some foreign religion?

No you're supposed to be disgusted because he went to a "humanist" service where there was no mention of God, Jesus, the Bible or anything mystical and he still whines because he stayed after for the contemporary service and it had stuff about God in it. It shows why there isn't any point trying to appeal to these people. They're soulless materialists devoid of the true animating spark of the creator. They shamble through life, read pop science books and drown themselves in mass media and recoil whenever someone attempts to get them to see the true nature of creation.

There's no point talking to these hardened atheists. They're so blinded to the truth that they consider naturalistic materialism the only possible correct model of reality, even when the logical conclusion of it is that they're a meat robot with no actual will of their own.

>“The fanatical atheists are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who—in their grudge against traditional religion as the "opium of the masses"—cannot hear the music of the spheres.” - Albert Einstein

Even if this asinine statement was true, how do Atheists account for people like me who grew up in a very secular environment and still converted to the faith? Every single Atheist argument seems to stem from bastardized forms of Protestant strawmen against Catholicism or focused primarily on low church protestant theology.

So his complaint is that this "church" is doing even the most minimal church stuff? That's like going to a physics lecture and complaining that it's too much math and formulae. Except this guy would complain that even a pop-science YouTube video is too heavy on the math.

Good Points:

>They're not Christian

>They're retarded leftists who hate their own people

>They're all going to Hell

Bad Points:

>They actually talked about their religion a bit

>They accidentally almost acted like Christians

If there's one upside to the satanic ritual of abortion becoming legal, it is that these people are self-selecting their vile genetics out of the pool, and presumably their souls from heaven.

So do you think its more likely that, out of nothing, the universe appeared, and then, by complete chance, the components for life came about and, again by chance, formed into hyper complex lifeforms? Do you think there is any objective good and evil, or are your morals just as valid as Hitlers? Have you looked at the evidence for the resurrection? How about the 300+ prophesies about Jesus, written hundreds or even thousands of years before his birth? What about how the European Union was predicted 1000s of years ago? Or all the scientific foreknowledge in the Bible? Is all of that just a pure coincidence?

protestant coworker went to a local catholic church and he said the same thing "it's too ritualistic, it felt like a cult, I was so confused!" So I didn't bother to invite him to my orthodox church.
