Mary names Jesus in the Peshitta. The Greek doesn't specifically say that Joseph did it but taken with the context it's pretty evident but you can see how another interpretation could arise.

The NT text for the most part is taken to be of majority type but it still presents readings that would be considered Alexandrian which is actually the case for many traditional bibles and probably Greek manuscripts as well.
