A chatbot is not self-aware but only responds according to predefined rules. Even the so-called neural networks work fundamentally differently from the human brain, which can be seen in how they can be fooled with specifically crafted inputs to give weird results.

AI do not have a soul nor an actual intelligence.

It can reach something similar to self-consciousness and free-will maybe but only by analogy. No matter how close to the human thought process it can become, what an AI "think" is merely a calculation based on 0 and 1 and programmed by men.

As I imagine a sentient AI it can be either a glorified bot or a really really shady antichrist type of creation. Like an artificial mockery of a biological intellect, completely closed in materiality and entirely alien to God and spirituality.
