So which day is actually the Sabbath? Jesus rose on the "first day of the week" (Mark 16:9), considering Easter is celebrated on a Sunday this would make Saturday the seventh day and thus the sabbath. In addition to this the book "The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine" supposedly has an admittance that the Catholic church changed the sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday as a mark of their authority, so which is it? I cant find anything in the bible that states Sunday is the sabbath.

God isn't pathetic enough to care about what exact day of the week your sabbath should be. His commandment was, work for six days, rest on the seventh.

However, Acts 20:7 says that the disciples gathered on the first day of the week to break bread. Make of that what you will.

The Catholic Church doesn't claim that Sunday is the sabbath. The sabbath was and is still is Saturday. However, the Church decided to worship on Sunday, now called the Lord's Day, rather than on the Sabbath, because that is the day Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

The earliest Christians as you can see from Acts and other early accounts kept Sunday for Mass. So we do too.
