I don't know if this is heresy, if so, please forgive me. But I always had trouble understanding what 'Jesus died for our sins' means.

Pic related (last post) made me sort of understand this for the first time in my life. Is this a completely wrong view? Would it be correct if we change karmic with original sin for example?

Jesus died for our sins, in that being a perfect sacrifice could cleanse man of his sins if he participates.

Karmic debt and sin are not interchangeable concepts, though they are somewhat similar, karmic debt being more mechanical and sin being more personal.

Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, and was sacrificed by us, but unlike the others His sacrifice was the ultimate one.

It had to be like that. God sacrificing himself for us. And we didn't do shit to deserve that love, in fact we just did the opposite, so I don't see how Chinese crap fits into these things.
