What do you think about the Evangelical Counsels (Poverty, Chastity and Obedience), /christian/?

Do you personally observe them in any way or form?

Personally, I'm thinking very intensely about monastic life, but even now as a layman I'll try to practice these advice the best I can.

I plan on working and not making any extravagant purchases.

I'm getting hired soon, glory to God! Out with the NEET life!

I've given up on sexual immorality of any kind and I want to devote my life to Christ and not marry, unless He wants me to.

I'm obeying my priest and from now on I'll ask him much more for advice and guidance.

I will definitely not be marrying, so celibacy and chastity I will observe. Poverty is something I have always been in, and "if you had been born in Asia, you'd happily live there and not desire to move to Greece, so why when you are born in poverty would you not happily remain?". I need to work on obedience.
