Did /christian/ fall for the tourist traps?

Do you guys still believe the BS people told you because they want to make a quick buck?

Most holy christian sites, especially in the middle east, are not the actual locations, but selected spots to make a quick buck. Some spots where purposely "moved" because the actual location was inaccessible for big crowds of people

The video for example shows how "the church of the holy sepulcher" was originally the temple of Jupiter&Venus

While not all are frauds most of the big ones are

>tomb of david

>mount sinai

>crucifixion site of Christ

>tomb of Christ (the garden tomb visited by protestants is authentic)

>baptism site of Christ by John the baptist (alternative location was selected because of security concerns)

>many other lesser known places
