Every book rec I see here is either not limited to the church fathers and includes a bunch of modern works with only a couple fathers, or it’s full on complete church fathers collections. (Pics relateds). What are the essential works of the church fathers?

HELP ME CHRISTBROS. Which edition of City of God shall I get? Bettenson's Penguin or Dyson's autistic critical edition? I know the pros/cons of both and really can not decide. Part of me wants to get both so I have the sexy Penguin cover for my bookshelf (I know, shut up) and Dyson's for the critical apparatus that accompanies the text.
