The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

He is going to be a canonized saint once the modernists lose their diabolical grip on Rome. He saved the Catholic Church by creating pockets of resistance that held on to the true faith and apostolic tradition. Vatican II promotes error and far worse than that, is the ambiguity it spoke with. It gave modernists a blank slate to remake the church in their image. And look at the fall out. Look at the fruit of Vatican II. Parishes are closing rapidly across the world, most diocesan seminaries are drying up. Religious vocations are almost dead in the post conciliar church. You go to the average novus ordo parish and you will see that most people in attendance are boomers or older. The new church repulses young Catholics. Thank God for Archbishop Lefebvre. Were it not for him, we'd likely not have the TLM available anywhere. You look at the seminaries of the SSPX, FSSP, ICKSP, etc. They are bursting at the seams with waiting lists that go back for several years. The religious orders attached to them are full of candidates. Their parishes/communities are full of young vibrant Catholic families (many of whom have many kids). Sure there are plenty of old folks there too who managed to live long enough to see the Roman Church return to her senses. Now who would you say is in schism with Catholicism? The SSPX who affirm Catholic teaching as it was always held? Or the periphery pontiff who welcomes unrepentant adulterers to Holy Communion, so long as they spend a long time discerning for themselves if they are ready to receive Communion or not.

It’s happening as we speak in 50 years traditionalists will be the only ones left in the Church in America.

SSPX is done, it served it's purpose for a time, but Pope Benedict never liked Vatican II and always favored the traditional mass. So when he became pope he tried to get greater freedom for those who wanted to practice it.

So with societies like FFSP and ICKSP there isn't much need for SSPX unless someone wanted to do a full out protest against Rome for backing down on the doctrine of no salvation outside of the catholic church and similar issues. But it seems like the church is best served by having this opposition come from inside rather than through a parallel church structure

still with the future of the church so uncertain at the moment, maybe it's not such a bad idea to have a parallel church sticking around

Not a fan of those baby, baptism gowns on full grown men.

Why can't they just wear long simple robes and have beards?

Mandatory celibacy is evil.

You kidding? Those will be a good chunk of priests left in the US in 50 years.
