Earlier today, someone came up to me and my coworker, after a very causal (if not monotonous) conversation (which didn't have anything to with work), the person asked for my contacts and at the last second, I lied about my phone number.

Not like this person was hitting on me, I just don't like interacting with people much.

I feel like an asshole. I don't think I'll be able to apologize because the event where we met was a one time show this year (far as I'm told)…What should I do? What should I think?

I think you should apologise and tell the truth nonetheless no matter how much it will bite you back. And you should take heart, because in these days people lie so casually yet few are regretful and repentant about it. The sign that the Holy Spirit is still with you.

Alright, I'll try to find him and admit my mistakes.

That make me feel worse about this situation. I should have ended the conversation near the beginning, rather than upsetting the Spirit.
