when people promote the "one world religion" they aren't talking about authentic christianity , they mean some sort of syncretic, new-age, unitarian-buddhist-yoga hybrid, with evolution and some marxism/feminism/egalitarianism sprinkled in.

When people talk about "one world religion" they're not talking about confessing that Jesus Christ is the Son and that he came down to Earth to die for mankind. What they're talking about is some kind of lowest common denominator deity.

When people talk about a "one world religion" they're talking about a religion which has been contrived by the powerful in order to subdue and control the world, not about every nation being called to confess the truth of Christ's death and resurrection. In this way it also ties into schemes for one world government, and that "One people, One world" might actually be a central part of the creed of some hypothetical one world religion, in order to extinguish and destroy the concept of the nation-state. I hope I don't have to explain why this bad from a Christian perspective (see revelations), or even just the perspective of someone who isn't an asocial bug man.
