We disappoint the Lord when we don't try. If you sin, get back up and try again, and keep trying until you die, by which point, if you have truly persevered in sanctity, you will have purged yourself of much that is beneath you or keeps you grounded. It's why the spiritual life is often spoken of as a ladder. It's not a traedmill where you just keep going at the same pace expecting nothing will change, but finding it harder to keep going. Nothing will change if you don't allow it to. Life is a warfare but we must keep fighting until we gain that palm of victory.
>Would God still bless us, even though we have unforgiven sins or have sinned?
In life or in death? Because if in life you have unconfessed sins and for whatever reason put off going to confession, then it does you no favours. You take advantage of the Lord's patience and mercy, and so walk in peril. In death, however, provided you die with no mortal sins but still suffer from attachment to venial sins, you will suffer Purgatory to rid you of this bondage.
>I'm also wondering what /christians/ perspective on carnality?
What do you mean? Carnality as lust? Sensualism?
