The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."

So then what you're referencing is not the incorruptible word of God, but something corruptible. Meaning it could have been altered at any time, it could have been outright forged like many such documents have later been shown. I don't trust anything except the incorruptible word of God, which could not be altered or corrupted over time.
