Christ called God His Father for a reason. We know that God doesnt have a gender. That is obvious, but it is clear that names are important in the bible. If God was like a mother, Jesus would have said mother. But He didnt. So it must mean that Father is an important descriptor in at least one way.

I dont know how my opinion is valid here, but I think that one of the reasons has to do with the fact that, at least traditionally or in traditional societies, fathers were also mentors and served as an example for the children, maybe?

Sex/gender is not just about genitals. Liberals try to make a joke out of it by going "OH, GOD IS A MAN? SO YOU THINK HE HAS A PENIS?" Well, Jesus in his resurrected body does, actually. But there is a spiritual dimension to sex too. God is male spiritually. Liberals try to misapply a few similes or metaphors in scripture where God is compared to something feminine, like Jesus talking about wanting to protect his followers like a mother hen protecting her brood, to justify using feminine pronouns.
