So you’re a christian. That’s fine, whatever floats your boat. But what distinguishes you from a Muslim, or a Jew or a Budhist. When asked the same question, you’ll come up with a different answer from a satanist, and technically speaking, both of you would be right.

But of course, life isn’t that simple. Two people can’t be right and have opposing beliefs.

OP, asking what makes a satanist different from Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists is a different question from what makes a Christian different from Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists.

God gave you a logic, reason, and a brain. I suggest that you use them.

To put it simply anon, you can just look at the value systems of different groups (in this case religions) to determine what sets them apart. The top of the Christian hierarchy of values is someone who cares for the poor, who leads others to salvation, who cures the sick, who turns the other cheek, who glorifies God.

Jews in the other hand, take that same person but put him at the bottom of the hierarchy. They claim Jesus is in hell and demonize people who aspire to be like him.

Muslims put a polygamous warlord who gives salvation through violent martyrdom and bloodshed at the top of their hierarchy.

If you asked me how am i different from a marxist-leninist, and asked some godless liberal austrian school libertarian the same thing, both of our statements would be wildly different, while both being true answers to the question.

You asked how are they different from X, which 2 things can be, in wildly different ways, not which is true.

At least stick around to defend your bait a bit, you have two questions here and you're confusing them, they are;

1) How are you sure your religion is right, when every faith has a differing opinion?

2) What distinguishes you from any other religion

My answer to both is simple, I am certain of my religion on the basis of evidence that Christ Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected, and this fact distinguishes my religion from others in that it is based on a historical event.

Yes but none of those people self-resurrected, therefore regardless of their morality and teachings, which I don't have a problem studying, I don't believe they could grasp the whole truth perfectly, because they weren't God, while Jesus demonstrated himself to be God's Son by doing the impossible.

You may disagree, but really, that's irrelevant at this point because your question has no logical consistency beyond the second sentence and until the last sentence I'm at a complete loss. Yes, two people cannot be right and have opposing beliefs, but I have witnessed the truth of Christ's teachings in my own life so I have no trouble saying that anyone who disagrees beyond certain moral limits… Let's just call them misguided and reserve judgement, shall we? After all, everyone will be made known by their fruits, not just the things which come out of their mouths.
