The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Whenever you are in doubt just remember:

– This is how much God (the Word, the Son) loves you.

Think that God the Father Himself would have gone to the cross for you, if He was incarnated in the flesh?

Or God the Holy Spirit?

MOST DEFINITELY!!!

Think that God is so stupid that He would not cleanse us from all sin, transform us inwardly so that our new selves in Christ would always abhor sin, and at the appropriate time change our physical bodies to be without sin into eternity?

One of my issues with the sacrifice is that Jesus knew he was immortal. What value can a death have for an eternal, immortal being?

>He knew He was immortal

nope, He knew he would give His life for the sacrifice of all sins. He knew he would be resurrected into His Glorified form, and then assume (or re-assume) His rightful place in Heaven.

there's many reasons aside from the sacrifice itself, but one of the big ones is proving:

1. He is God, and would rise again. He repeated this many times during His ministry.

2. The proof that He will raise us into glorified forms during the Final Judgement is Himself

and much, much more.

technically, all those whom are elect are already immortal! do you find issue with this too?

Thanks for this OP, I was feeling down the past few days and being reminded that God loves me made my day better.

As long as we put our faith in God everything will work out for the best
