Same way the Eucharistic bread can cause an allergic reaction. In transubstantiation, the molecules change in substance, but their accidents, or qualities, don't change.

yep. agape is the early christian feast that rich and poor would share, with a lot of food and wine. but it sounds like he's saying that there was some bad practices happening at this particular group of feasters
