The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

We all know the story of Exodus where God talks to Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt because they were being oppressed as said in Exodus 3:9

I was watching an interview and this subject came up. Anyone familiar with this argument can give me a quick rundown?

Everything that guy is saying is conjecture. The basic argument against the reality of the Exodus and the Israelites' time in Egypt is that there aren't any contemporary sources that describe the event, aside from some work rosters with Semitic names on them. This is already an argument from silence(which is a logical fallacy), but even setting that aside, the argument ignores the fact that the Egyptians were notorious for altering historical accounts to make themselves look good. One notable example of this are the records of a battle fought between the Egyptians and the Hittites, around the same time the Exodus took place. The Hittites were actual winners of the battle, but the Egyptian accounts of the same conflict claim they completely destroyed the Hittite army. The more you dig into the academic historiography of that era, and in general really, the more realize that most of it is just guesswork.

That'll get you a lot of stds and an Israeli golden calf. You're just being 90% of America by doing the opposite of what /pol/ says.

It originated with Sigmund Freud because he loved his mom a lot, and got his wee-wee cut as a kid.

No one here is familiar with this argument because no one here is dumb enough to give it a full hearing

the israelite cries out in pain as he strikes you

funny story, I just learned that the Egyptians didn't use slave labor to build the pyramids, the workers weren't slaves, just low paid manual labor folks

>I just learned that the Egyptians didn't use slave labor to build the pyramids

Oh wow, one of the Israelites from that time was reporting in on another thread was (s)he?

Ooooooh, no, that's right, they're all dead.

Anything other than that is pure usually anti-Christian or /pol/ish propaganda.

>I want this thing to be true! And if you deny it you have a secret agenda!!!!

Why? If you research it you'll see new evidence says it's not true. They didn't use slave labor.

I first heard about it from a japanese rpg…then I googled it to confirm. Go figure

The Bible never claims the Jews built the Pyramids. They were built during the Old Kingdom period, about a thousand years before the Exodus.

Kind of hard to think slave weren't involved in some way, i.e. menial unskilled labor, Especially when they were used heavily elsewhere in Egypt.

>the bible never

Wrong. The jews say this. Btw. Kikes were not slaves in babylon either.
