>but he believes that the Bible is full of hidden messages
This is wrong due to two verses. The first is 2 peter 1:20
>Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
And matthew 5:37
>But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Jesus means what He says in God's word for His yea is His yea. The meaning is "very plain(ly)" deuteronomy 27:8. Do you think that the Bible has hidden messages? Maybe it is hid to those without eyes to see matthew 11:25
>At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
2 corinthians 4:3-4
>But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
>In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
