I've never had a problem with them and I constantly raise objections to Roman Catholic theology. If your idea of debate is doing a handstand on a pulpit and firing KJV paperbacks from a t-shirt cannon, perhaps the mods are the least of your problems.

OrthoLARPers are a specific term for orthodox converts who's hatred for the catholic church goes so far that they call us heretics because we believe/do x while they believe/do x exactly the same but we're catholic.

E.g. Mary's ever virginity, statues vs. icons, etc.

My favourite type of Ortholarp is the one who has not been chrismated or even attended the divine liturgy but has just seen that one image "the Orthodox Church remains in the dark ages" on 4chan and suddenly decides they are a based orthodox.

My other favourite type of the Ortholarp like you said is the ex-prot that rages against Catholic theology, not realising it is also Eastern theology thus outing themself as a heretic to their own Church. I think these ones coincide with the first or are just badly catechised.

I don't really know about the catechism in the orthodox church, I only know that if you're catholic you better do it yourselves.

Got to admit though, my priests are doing pretty great (I attended a catechism class last week out of curiosity).
